What do you mean by coaching?

Coaching is a partnership where a coach supports a person in working to improve their life in some way. In simple terms, the coach’s role is to support the client on their journey from where they are now to where they want to be, in relation to any personal or professional goal or aspiration.

The coach and the client together create a space for the client to explore their goals and work out a path to achieving them. The coach is a thinking partner, but it’s the client who has all the answers within themselves. The role of the coach is only to help them resurface.

Coaching should be a challenging and thought-provoking experience. It dives into person’s strengths and aims to help them have an honest look inwards to shift their perspective. Coaching can bring extraordinary results if the client is ready, willing and able to commit to the process.

A coaching relationship is probably unlike anything else. You can also think about a coach as an objective observer who always believes in you and that you have everything you need to succeed.

Coaching is future-looking, starting where a person currently is, without diving deep into past issues and traumas (note the difference between coaching and therapy).

It’s important to keep in mind that it’s not just about what you experience during the coaching sessions, but also everything that happens in between, when you reflect on the process and your progress.

You might have heard of life, executive, transformational, or other types of coaching.

What is the purpose of exploratory call?

We will spend 30 mins together to meet and see if we are the right fit. That means we have the right "chemistry", the expectations and ground rules are clear and accepted from both sides, and what you want to work on fits within the coaching space.

What needs to happen before we have the first session?

After our exploratory call, I will share with you by email the coaching agreement for your signature. Once I receive confirmation of acceptance from you, I will share a booking link for the session(s). The scheduling system allows booking two weeks in advance.

What if I cannot make it to the scheduled session?

You can cancel your session up to 24h before the scheduled time.

What personal information do you need?

For the purpose of the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council), I am required to share the client's details (name, contact information and start and end dates of coaching) to prove my hours of practice. No personal notes or other client information will be shared as part of this process.

What happens at the end of the coaching programme?

If you wish to continue coaching sessions at the end of the programme, you can choose individual sessions, or you can sign up for a 6-month-long "maintenance programme", where we meet once a month to monitor your progress and deal with anything else that may arise.

Do you only work with startup founders?

Resilience, although critical for startup founders, is also very relevant for anyone else, as we live in a world with constant change. As a coach, I can work on other topics as well.
