Hi, I'm Karolina!

Hi, I'm Karolina!
I spent more than 15 years working in research and technical roles before moving into coaching.
That might seem like an unusual route.
For me, it makes perfect sense.
Throughout my career, I worked alongside people who are very good at solving difficult problems. People who can analyse complex information, find solutions and keep going when things get difficult.
But technical expertise doesn't automatically prepare you for everything that comes with being responsible for something you care deeply about.
Uncertainty.
Pressure.
Difficult decisions.
Setbacks.
Relationships.
Leadership.
And the doubts that can appear when there isn't an obvious answer.
Those are different kinds of challenges.
My journey
I know what it is like to set high standards for yourself.
I've experienced perfectionism that can make finishing something harder than starting it. I've caught myself procrastinating by doing more research when what I really needed was to make a decision. I've experienced analysis paralysis when there wasn't enough information to feel completely certain.
I've learned that these aren't character flaws.
They are patterns.
And patterns can be noticed, questioned and changed.
That is one of the reasons I value coaching so much.
Not because it gives us perfect answers, but because it creates the space to understand what is happening and choose how we want to respond.
My background
I studied Chemistry and Chemical Technology before completing a PhD in Tribology.
My career took me from Poland to the UK and Austria and eventually to Italy, where I now live.
My career included research, technical, and leadership roles in the automotive and heat-transfer fluids industry.
Along the way, I worked in research and technical environments alongside people with different backgrounds, personalities and ways of approaching problems.
In 2025, I completed the Professional Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring at Kingstown College in Dublin.
That combination of technical experience, leadership and personal reflection now shapes how I coach.
Outside of coaching
When I'm not working, I enjoy aerial silks, being out in nature, snorkelling and getting lost in a good book.
And, more often than not, that book comes with a cat on my lap. 🐱
How I work
I genuinely believe you already have more answers than you think.
My job isn't to give you mine. It's to help you find yours.
Coaching with me is a space for honest thinking, useful challenge and reflection, without another person telling you what you should do.
We'll focus on what matters to you and what is happening now. And we'll look for a way forward that makes sense for you, rather than trying to fit you into somebody else's formula.
You don't need to become a different person to lead well.
You need to understand yourself well enough to make deliberate choices about how you want to lead.
If that sounds like the kind of support you're looking for, let's talk.
