You don't need
another expert
telling you what to do

You don't need
another expert
telling you what to do
You already have plenty of people with opinions.
What you may be missing is something different:
Somewhere where you can stop, think properly, challenge your own assumptions and work out what makes sense for you.
That is what coaching with me is for.
I work with founders who are building something they care deeply about, particularly when the journey is uncertain,
demanding and taking longer than expected.
You bring what's happening. We work out what's really going on.
And you leave with a clearer perspective, greater awareness of your options, and a way forward that is yours.
What we can work on
There is no fixed list. We start with what is happening for you now.
That might be:
You have analysed the problem from every angle, but still can't decide.
We can separate what you know from what you're assuming, identify what is actually within your control, and explore what you need in order to make a decision without waiting for perfect certainty.
You cannot always get all the information before you have to act.
We can look at how you respond when the answer isn't obvious, including analysis paralysis, procrastination, second-guessing and the pressure to get things right.
Something didn't work.
A rejection hit harder than expected. An experiment failed. A key person left. A decision you made turned out badly.
We can work through what happened without letting one event become a judgement about you, your capabilities or the future of your company.
You can be highly capable and still question yourself.
Together, we can explore the thinking behind that doubt and distinguish useful self-reflection from the kind of analysis that keeps you stuck.
Your technical expertise may have got you this far.
But leadership asks for something different: dealing with people, conflict, uncertainty, competing priorities and emotions, including your own.
Coaching gives you space to think about the kind of leader you want to be and how you want to show up when things get difficult.
When you care deeply about what you're building, it can become difficult to separate the company from yourself.
We can explore what happens when your confidence, identity, self-worth or sense of progress becomes too closely tied to what is happening with the company.
We can work on creating that separation without losing your ambition or commitment.
Sometimes you don't need a five-year plan.
You need to understand what is getting in the way and work out what to do next.
Coaching can help you step back from the noise, see the bigger picture and identify a meaningful next step.
How I work
Think deeply, challenge assumptions, and move forward.
My approach is practical, thoughtful and tailored to you.
There is no prescribed formula and no set list of topics we have to cover.
Instead, I will ask questions, challenge your thinking, help you notice patterns and offer a different perspective when it could be useful.
You remain in the driver's seat.
Resilience
is part of the work
I don't see resilience as simply being able to handle more pressure.
Real resilience is the capacity to respond well when things don't go according to plan.
That can involve:
Awareness
recognising what is happening in your thoughts, emotions and behaviour
Perspective
separating facts from assumptions, stories and interpretations
Adaptation
being willing to change your approach when the evidence tells you something isn't working
Self-trust
making decisions without needing absolute certainty or external validation
Recovery
knowing when to pause, reset and replenish rather than continually pushing through
Connection
having people around you who can provide perspective, challenge and support
These areas often overlap. We will focus on the ones that matter most for you.
Choose the level of support that suits you
What you can expect
from me
I will NOT
tell you how to run your company
give you a startup strategy
pretend to have all the answers
give you motivational speeches
try to turn you into someone you're not
treat every founder problem as a resilience problem
But I will
listen without judgement
ask questions that make you think
challenge assumptions when appropriate
help you notice patterns and blind spots
bring an outside perspective
respect your autonomy and your decisions
keep our conversations confidential, within the limits explained in our coaching agreement
work in line with professional coaching ethics
keep the work focused on what is useful to you
My role is not to have the answers for you.
It's to help you think well enough to find the answers that are right for you.
Is coaching right for you?
Coaching works when you are willing to be curious about yourself, including the things you may not particularly like or want to see.
You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal.
But you do need to be willing to make time for the process, be honest about what is happening, question some of your assumptions, experiment with different ways of thinking or acting, reflect between sessions, and take responsibility for the choices you make.
Not sure where to start?
You don't need to choose the right coaching option before we speak.
We can start with a free 30-minute exploratory call.
We'll talk about what is happening, what you would like to change and whether coaching with me
is the right kind of support.
No hard sell.
Just a conversation to work out whether it makes sense to continue.
You are building something difficult.
You don't have to do all the thinking alone.
